Testimonies: Suzi Caughran, Part 2

As promised, here's the second part of Suzi Caughran's amazing testimony.  After this, there will be two more parts.  Enjoy!

I had a “best’ friend that hung out with me and partook in my favorite activities. I thought I was having fun…I mean wasn’t I? I lived this life style for sometime…….went home with almost any guy that paid attention to me, and gave myself freely to them. Afterwards, I always hated myself. The first time I found myself pregnant I was scared to death…..never once did I identify that I had a baby in my womb. This time frame was shortly after abortion was legalized, thanks to Roe v. Wade. The only thing I was focused on at that time was finding a doctor who could abort it for me. I remember a friend of mine who had an abortion, so I contacted her. My mom overheard this conversation and was shocked. She drove me to my abortion and told me that if my father ever found out, “he would kill me”. So, I had the abortion and continued punishing myself by giving myself to men.

Testimonies: Suzi Caughran (Part 1)

Allow me to introduce to you Suzi Caughran, a woman who has an amazing story. She volunteers at iChoice (Life Services) in Cheney and is a consultant there. There will be four parts to her story, so stay tuned! The sharing of testimonies may become a regular feature on We Can't Ignore, so look for those! But now, read what Suzi Caughran has to say about her life and the amazing forgiveness God has poured out on her.

I entered into this world on February 19, 1958. I was born into a family that had two boys aged 1 and 2. My mother and father were in their early 20’s and my father was in the Air Force at that time. I was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana at St. Patrick’s Hospital. We moved a few times due to my father being in the Air Force. My dad finally left the Air Force and moved the family to Culver City, California. At that time, a small suburb on the west side of town. My mom then had my younger brother 4 yrs later and then following 11 yrs later, her final son was born.

Featured Pro-life Activity

You may have noticed that I didn't post the supposedly Weekly Featured Pro-life Activity two weeks...or last week...or this week.  Yeah, well two reasons.

One, I've been a tiny bit busy, okay a lot busy, and my good friends are going through a really, really hard family crisis.  So there's the first reason.

Two, I've decided to change the "Weekly" part in that fancy title to "Monthly", so every month you'll get a new organization to dig into.  That way, you have longer to digest it, and I have longer to find all the good tidbits about it:)  So, I'll get November's up ASAP, and just so you know, November's Featured Pro-life Activity will be the SBA-list (  So, there's your spoiler (spoiler alert!) for this post.

Thanks, as always, for reading!
